Hungama 2 is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by
Priyadarshan and jointly produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, Chetan Jain and
Armaan Ventures. It is loosely based on director's own 1994 Malayalam film
Minnaram with a different climax scene and is a spiritual successor to the 2003
film Hungama.It contains one scene remade from Priyadarshan's Vandhanam. The
movie also has a thread of Jeetendra starer film Parichay (1972 film) , where
four kids are scaring the wits of the then teacher before the arrival of
Jeetendra as a replacement. The film stars Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan
Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash. Hungama 2 marks the two comebacks of Priyadarshan
and Shilpa Shetty to Bollywood after eight years and 14 years, respectively.
Hungama 2 premiered on 23 July 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar.
